If you are reading this,male, been raped as young as 3, beaten, strangled by both of my parents, seen my brother beeing beatn till blood would come out from the lashes, mother locking me in the dirty clothes closet pitch black for hours, alcoholic parents, neighbors giving me clothes and something to eat at times. I evolved into a kid (7 to 11 ) who would torture animals, beat smaller kids for no reason to feel beeing equal, but eventually stopped when 1 adult started showing me love(sometimes, kids don't have this chance and become something worse . I've been down the suicide alley, searching for the best way ( carbon intoxication would've been my choice) and planning all out. But i gave living a chance by symply asking the universe if something much more bigger than me existed .AND i got my answer AND now i'm living my best life, having forived all those that have mistaken me. Forgiving is the biggest blessing that God gave to me. Hatred eats your body and your soul, it gives you sickness and bitterness. Forgive and move forward.

Give this man his flowers, he has mourned many lives in his work. Mark laughs because when he is again faced with death, he tries to allow himself comfort with this coping mechanism.

It's interesting that he hates negativity (47.00) yet he hangs on all of his perceived negative traits and experiences. The other thing that really "hit" me I guess is when he talked about cutting the children's hair, or not being able too. That seemed very controlling to me. Maybe when people need that control and can't have it things go south.

I, like many MANY people, have depressive episodes. I know far to well how dark it can get, and you always forget that the depression will eventually end, and you'll eventually feel good again. but when you're stuck in those down times, it never fails, you always feel like the light is not coming back on this time

Omg! I totally empathize with this woman. I am a nurse that has worked in long term care skilled rehabilitation,as well as a hospice nurse. The things that I have seen. Long term care needs a total legal and ethical approach to our elderly. There is also a lot of undiagnosed mental illness.

No such thing as "attempted suicide" unless a gun was used. My father, a brother, a sister of mine have taken their lives. No "attempts" just death. People that talk about it all the time such as this guy will not do it. He wants attention badly from someone, family or someone in his life. He wants to be known and talked about by someone. Attention is what he craves.

Please go to counseling and get help to process your childhood trauma...you can overcome your thoughts.

The most hurtful part of suicide is the ones you leave behind. You are gone, but those that love you are haunted by grief, regret, and a myriad of feelings that never go away. My Grand daughter's Dad jumped off the Skyway Bridge in Florida. She lives with believing he did not love her enough to want to live. Horrible things happen to people. Things that can feel overwhelming enough to not want to be here anymore. I am grateful I believe my life is not mine to take. I have a Creator that it belongs to. Listening to this young man's story I realize again, the best way to overcome whatever has hurt us in life is to give of ourselves. That is what he is doing, and has worked for him. He is still here. Thank you Mark, for bringing this into the light.❤
